Hello, I will keep this simple. I am using WinReducerEX70_x64 1.6.1.0 WinReducerEX70 x64 v1.8.5.0 on the clean, official Win7_Pro_SP1_English_x64.iso. I don't use VirtualBox. The tests I make are installed on a spare HDD.

Problem 1: Services
Computer Browser - Missing from WinReducer
Windows Media Network Sharing Service - Missing from WinReducer
Windows Card Space - Still exists after removal.
Shared Access - Missing from WinReducer
Windows Error Reporting Service - Still exists after removal.
HomeGroup Listener - Fails to be removed. Description errors.
HomeGroup Provider - Fails to be removed. Description errors.

WerSvc - After removal Description:
Print Spooler - (Becomes Spooler after removal, but still exists) Description:
Disk Defragment: "Optimize Drives Service" Selected="true" Value="5" /> After removal, service becomes "defragsvc"

Since 1.6.1.0 the bugs below are either fixed or I haven't retested:
Performance Logs & Alerts - Missing from WinReducer

Problem 2: Service Removal
As mentioned above, many of the existing services in WinReducer that I set to remove, still exist in Services.msc (after installing windows) some some of the descriptions read error.

Problem 3: Control Panel
Control Panel - Ease of Access + Files: Despite removal, this still remains on Control Panel.
Control Panel - HomeGroup: Needs the option to remove it completely.
Control Panel - Windows Update: An option to remove associated files.

Problem 4: Explorer
Share With - Still exists below the explorer bar.
Library Pane - Still appears despite: "Explorer - Command Bar - Remove Library Pane" Selected="true"
Navigation Pane - Really needs an option to hide it.
Windows Help - After removal it still exists in the Start Menu and the corner of every window.

Problem 5: Context Menu
Add to WMP List - Still exists despite: "Context Menu - Remove Add to WMP list from audio files" Selected="true" />
Share With - Still exists in Context Menu AND Explorer bar. (See image)
Include in Library still exists (See image)

Problem 6: WinReducer
After loading the saved Preset on a clean ISO extraction:
Protect Windows Update keeps enabling itself, despite saving the preset with it OFF.
Optimise ISO Size keeps disabling itself, despite saving the preset with it ON.
Protect Windows Activation GUI keeps enabling itself, despite saving the preset with it OFF.
Protect Important Files also enabled itself after reloading preset.

Other problems:
Connect to a Network Projector on the Start Menu after being removed.
Internet Explorer 8 is installed even though 11 is included with SP1.
Remote Assistance is still enabled despite removing all 3 Remote Services.
Cannot create Administrator Account without needing a password.
Weird problem when extracting ISO, loading preset then loading it again:

Suggestions: (Updated again)
Ability to customise/remove Network Icon etc from system tray
Ability to clear Default taskbar icons (Pinned)
Remove CP Files for Windows Update and Defender
Disable Aero Shake
Disable Aero Snap
Enable Windows Dreamscenes
Enable Transparent Glass

Screenshots:
These validate the listed problems above.

Once again, thanks for reading. I had hoped to see these issues resolved by now though.. as I've been waiting to format my main SSD for over a year. My current RT7Lite build does not have SP1 and I wanted to wait for WinReducer to function better than RT7.

*EDIT 28th May 2017
https://i.imgur.com/sQcaOgz.jpg
I guess this was never fixed. I had disabled "Protect Important Files" etc. yet those services did not remove before. Today I tried again and it seems to have partially removed them..like last years test. Also, Windows Update enabled itself after installing Windows.. even though I set it to Disable. If I don't want to protect files then they should NOT try to be protected. It's not like I'm trying to protect Windows Search but at the same time, trying to remove its service!

Here's a registry file of stuff left behind after removal. {http://puu.sh/w3s0E/330da251fa.reg}
Here's my Preset {http://puu.sh/w3rWP/46e1309832.wccf}
^ If you see any obvious problems in my preset, it's also probably obvious to me. WinReducer still doesn't save everything correctly nor does it remove everything properly.
Protect Important Files enabled itself, yet I disabled that on my last test (26th) and after installing Windows I saw many services were still ignored.
Today I decided to try again. I reloaded that preset and all the Protects I disabled were enabled. The only changes I made were unchecking Language Files and disabling those Protects again. I saved the new preset and started the process. After installing windows with the new ISO.. services decided to half remove but not completely. It seems that I can't even reproduce the exact same conditions every time due to how temperamental this is.

If anyone can explain to me what the hell is going wrong, please do. I also hope that my thread won't be ignored for yet another year. It took me many tests and a lot of time last year to compile everything together, and judging by the "progress" of WinReducer, I can't help but feel this has been totally ignored. Once again I have provided more of my input and hope that my time and effort will not be in vain. This goes for other people too, who have given their input but their threads don't even get a response. Rant aside, I appreciate all the contributions made by several people here (especially KrX!) I just don't wish to keep waiting around forever to get a clean operating system that I can settle with.

hi,

thats a nice list.

i also saw some of those registry tweaks like removing include to library not working.

about your 3rd Problem, all those entries are removed for me. for that you need not only to use this:

Control Panel - Ease of Access (Files)
but also
Control Panel - Ease of Access   <----- this actually removes the link

for problem 6, i think components like:
Control Panel - Windows Update, firewall etc
are removed when you select the service to be removed.
so you need to remove:

Windows Update Service
Windows Firewall Service

and so on, i remove those services and nearly all files are removed

EDIT:

about Enable Transparent Glass

i never got this to work after installation.

you need to get your grafic card drivers integrated into your install.wim. so and here comes my problem. after installation the basic theme is choosen and i need to change that to the aero design. i never found an registry tweaks. the only thing i once found was a AutoHotKey script which opens the personalize window and selects it automatically. (but i lost that script)

Hi!
I have both of the above selected in my Preset, but it is still in the Control Panel.
Clicking it says "There are no items to display." I will test this yet again and update this post.
"Remove - Control Panels" Name="Control Panel - Ease of Access" Selected="true" />
"Remove - Control Panels" Name="Control Panel - Ease of Access (Files)" Selected="true" />

I wanted to remove Windows Update Files but not the Service because Visual C++ 2015 depends on the Service to exist, but it won't continue without it. Netframe 4.6.2 depends on this too, but the warning can be ignored without error.

For your problem with Aero, I can't test this because I don't have my GPU software integrated. I share this inconvenient issue though.
Check: Element Category="Tweaks" Name="System - Force Aero" Selected="true" />

As for Registry, I'm only aware of the two keys:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ThemeManager]
String DllName - %ResourceDir%\Themes\Aero\Aero.msstyles
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Themes]
String InstallTheme - %systemroot%\resources\Themes\aero.theme
String InstallVisualStyle - %ResourceDir%\Themes\Aero\Aero.msstyles

If you already have Aero running, you could probably export both keys mentioned above to integrate.

i always got this enabled, it even was my reg tweak which i asked to be integrated into winreducer Razz
but after some time it stoped working.

that is already set.

what i also found is this:

Enable Aero in Windows 7 with Registry Hack

1. Click on Start and type regedit at run
2. Now Navigate to the following registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\DWM

3. In the right details pane, create following Three DWORD (32-bit value) entry
UseMachineCheck, and set its value to 0.
Blur, and set its value to 0.
Animations, and set its value to 0.
4. Close Regedit
5. Click on Start and type CMD with administrative Priviliges
6. Now type following command
Net Stop uxsms
Net Start uxsms
Above command will stop and start Desktop Window Manager Session Manager.
7. Now Attempt to Enable Aero by right clicking on desktop-> Personalize ->Windows Colors.

those keys arent present (also not when i enable it via personalize after installation) so maybe i will try that next time.

WinReducer doesn't save the wccf file correctly.
So you need to edit your configuration file manually.
Once you did it, WinReducer will load it correctly.
The only preset switch you have to activate manually is "Optimize ISO Size" (there's no line in the xml file).

If you want to remove more things you need to disable the "Protect Important Files" preset.
The result?
You'll probably have a broken Os.
