Hello... it's me again! Very Happy

I'm now using WinReducer 3.2.7. Well, just trying to make another ISO without some features and all updates until now included, but I noticied WinReducer IS NOT removing various components and features I checked to remove. Even if I uncheck "Automatic Removing" and/or uncheck the switches to not protect Office, Sysprep, etc... no success: some items are not removed. Here is the list I can see not removed, and I checked to be removed:

Code:

As you can see, all these items are checked to be removed, but don't. Others items, like DVD Maker and some others, are removed without problems. The final ISO don't get reduced, also.

Here is the log from WinReducer:

Code:

ERROR : 28/04/2015 10:10:37 ==> Windows - Unneeded Files Cleanup

hi,

how can you tell DVD Maker is removed when you say the final iso isnt reduced ?

maybe the external software like 7zip, reshacker, etc are damaged? try to download them via winreducer again (32 bit)

Hi, KrX!

Well, I can say because I test the ISO in a VM. The items I listed above aren't removed, but some others are.

Some items I'm sure removed: Games (all of them), DVD Maker, Media Center, Accessibility items, Anytime Upgrade, Backup And Restore... and some others.

In other words: the needed software to WinReducer do the job are OK. Else, these other items would not have been removed!

PS.: I'm trying to reduce a 32bit Professional image.

Hey,

Hope you feel good ... Smile

Just few questions for you :

- Are you using an old wccf file to load your preset ?
- Are you using an antivirus during the removing process ?

If you could do this :
- re-download the latest WinReducer 7.0 build from "www.winreducer.net"
- recreate entirely your WinReducer 7.0 installation using the classic installation available in the "Tutorials" website page
- then customize your ISO with your antivirus disable

And please let us know ...Smile

Have a good day !

No, I create a new one.

I'm reducing from my office computer (don't have computer at home for now), and here I can't remove antivirus software from my PC, but I disable it entirely.

A detail I forgot to mention: when I downloaded WinReducer first time, the antivirus (AVG Enterprise Edition 2015) found a virus named "Win32/Heur" on winreducer70.exe. I have to configure it to ignore the WinReducer folder, also.

I'll try at a friend's computer today, and post the results here.

Winter didnt mean that you should remove (deinstall) the antivirus. He meant to disable it while winreducer removes the components you chose

Yeah, I disable it completly. The strange thing is AVG telling it have a virus on winreducer70.exe.

I'll try to reduce on another computer today.

Hey,

This is not a virus, because only AVG see WinReducer as a virus ...

Few days ago, another forum user informed me about that he was doing an online virus detection (around 50 online antivirus were used) and only 2 antivirus have seen a virus. But none of them are the major antivirus companies !

And I assure you that there is no virus on all WinReducer Software !

Sorry for later reply.

Well, I made the tests in a clean x64 enviroment, and all is fine: all features and components are removed, and the final size is smaller than original. The problem was the system at work, surely.

I have the same errors regarding sysprep, like before (winreducer.forumotion.com/t844-some-issues-with-wr7-v3-rc6), but the solution deleting the registry keys still working.

I'll make some other tests, because I don't have integrated some updates and IE11, and post here.

See ya!

I always disable the AV, close any opened window and program before starting WinReducer to speed up the process.

There should be a warning message in the WinReducer start-up to close anything and disable the AV.

No, is not only the AV, in my case. Something else in my system was interfering with the process. I don't know what, but now I can continue.
