Hello,

What do you mean by "23.8% of cleaning WinSxS" : Is it during 1st boot with "Unattended - WinSXS DISM Cleanup" option, you used ? Or a command you launched after installation ?

OK, I will have a look as soon as I could , thank you for the report !

It should be related with : "Optimizations - EXPERT - WinSXS Folder Cleanup (install.wim)".

So, in order to avoid this error, it should be a good idea to do not use "Unattended - WinSXS DISM Cleanup", because this is not really recommended as you already use a WinReducer WinSxS Optimizations : "Optimizations - EXPERT - WinSXS Folder Cleanup (install.wim)" !

I have resolved with this preset: http://pastebin.com/PBi5W6VR

But i have an other problem: I start from an ISO with 2 images: Windows 8.1 Core and Windows 8.1 Pro and I choose the first.
When I apply my preset, my ISO is 2.76 GB Shocked Shocked  why? Maybe, because of second image (not removed)?

I want remove second image from ISO, but there isn't "Windows Licenses" in Remover, as in WinReducer 7.0. How do I do that? I tried with Compression of ISO, but it seem doesn't work.

Thank you Smile

hi,

start winreducer and select your wanted (core) edition. after that go to Remover and select:

    <Element Category="Optimizations" Name="ISO - Windows - Delete Unneeded Editions" Selected="true" />

that will delete all other editions exept the one you mounted.

why not removing? if you just want to keep ONLY the core edition and remove every other you need to select it so it will be removed

Excuse me, I have written wrong Very Happy

I have removed the "ISO - Windows - Delete Unneeded Editions" and have kept Net Framework 3.5 to avoid errors (for precaution, to avoid eventual fails)

Hello,

Are you using "unattended" tab settings in WinReducer ? if yes, have you tried to define a "Computer Name" ?

description[ANSWERED] Help for Extreme Reduction of 8.1 EmptyRe: [ANSWERED] Help for Extreme Reduction of 8.1

more_horiz
Yes, I'm using it and I choose Computer Name as "WIN8.1" Why?

description[ANSWERED] Help for Extreme Reduction of 8.1 EmptyRe: [ANSWERED] Help for Extreme Reduction of 8.1

Hello,

This what I've thought, because "." are not allowed to be used in the "Computer Name". So, to solve this, just remove the "." and it should work !

If you want more information, you may read the source link below ... Smile

It works fine! Smile Now, the ISO is 830 MB.

But I have a problem: I can't activate my copy with M$ Tootkit.

I get this error: https://2img.net/h/s15.postimg.cc/xj1fihbmj/Immagine.jpg

What component can I keep?

"EXPERT - Net Framework Complete Cleanup" or "Net Framework Light Cleanup"?

Hello,

This could be possible, but to be honest this is not at the moment my main concern ... Wink

But maybe you could create a tutorial in the forum dedicated part to centralize all resources about this subject to help other interested users ... Smile

I need to try to do this "project" and then, if it's possible, I will do a post Smile
