Drivers and Windows Update Integration

on Mon 1 Feb 2016 - 8:08
Hi, I am new to this tool. Currently I am done with all setup except for drivers and Windows update integration. Here I am to inquire about the steps:

Drivers: Do I just put the driver files (.exe) in the C:\Users\XX\Downloads\WinReducerEX100\WORK\INTEGRATE\DRIVERS\x64 folder?
(Within the .exe there are the setup files etc stuffs.)
I plan to do it with WinReducer Post Installation OOBE as a folder since I am not familiar with the Install / Boot.wim

Windows Updates: Do I just put the setup files (.msu or .exe) in the C:\Users\XX\Downloads\WinReducerEX100\WORK\INTEGRATE\UPDATES\x64 folder?
(All these Windows Update setup were downloaded using Windows Update Downloader)
I plan to do it with Updates from Integration under System Tab.

hello,

to integrate your drivers into your iso, you need to extract your .exe files i.e. with 7zip, you can do that like extracting any .zip files.

after that put them into the \WinReducerEX100\WORK\INTEGRATE\DRIVERS\x64

folder. and select at winreducer the folder

---------------------

move your updates to \WinReducerEX70\WORK\INTEGRATE\UPDATES\x64 into the right subfolder. netframework 3.5  updates to x64\NET35, IE updates to x64\IE etc and select at winreducer the folder

thats it.

normally its easier to use the winreducer update tool to download the latest updates, it will also put them into the right folder and you just need to select the folder at winreducer.
the update tool is at winreducer -> Start -> Tools -> Updates

Are the updates in the WinReducer tool up to date? Somehow it shows too less for me, on both W10 and W7 WinReducer. Windows Update Downloader gave me more downloads.

For drivers, so I just put the extracted folders (one driver one folder) containing setup.exe stuffs inside INTEGRATE\DRIVERS\x64 right? Then select manually in WinReducer software.

for updates. the update cataloge should be up2date. winter is updateing it each month.

for your drivers. yes extract i.e. nvidia.exe with 7zip. it will contain some folders etc. the needed files are .ini files. winreducer will than integrate those ini files + i.e. .sys files etc which are neededd into your wim

so you can put for each driver 1 folder at drivers/x64 (if you use an 64 bit os)

Thank you, will try it when idle  Very Happy
Quite lazy and time limited to do (test) the silent switches, otherwise would like to integrate software as well.

Really hope to have succeeded at once. Reviewed my custom preset file more than five times to ensure nothing I need to be missed out
