[SOLVED] WEREX100 - v0.9.5.0 RS1 Build 14393 Host Process for Windows Tasks has stopped working

I had done a new build with the latest Windows 10 1607 Version 14393.  After doing this on two seperate computers I would get one of the following two scenarios:

Scenario 1)

After installing the new build and then running the updates:

Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1607 for X64 based systems KB3189866 and KB3176936

and as soon as I get back into Windows I immediately have this error pop up in the middle of the screen:

                                        Host Process for Windows Tasks has stopped working

                                                                  -------> Close

And when I hit Close it would just pop right up again.  And so sadly I could not even get a screen shot to show you.

Scenario 2)

I don't even have any luck in getting the new build to completely install.  Instead after I enter in the information for the internet connection and normally it goes into asking me for a user name it restarts and loops right back into wanting the information for the internet connection again but this time with the connection intact from when I set it up before.

I have been going round and round with this now ever since 0.9.5.0 was released.  I finally have rolled back to Windows 10 1607 Version 1511 with WREX100 version 0.9.5.0 with absolutely no problems just as before. 

One last thing I have not tried is to see if WREX100 version 0.9.4.0 works with Windows 10 1607 Version 14393.  I will try that as soon as I have some time to do another build, hopefully tonight and will report back on how that goes.

I do apologize for thinking I had solved this problem, however, it has only gotten worse.  If anyone has any ideas or input please let me know and thank you very much.

The presets I am using for all these tests are:  [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

It's easier for testing purposes to keep the presets the same across the board so as to not confuse the issue.

Last night I did another build using Windows 10 RS1 Build 14393 and rolled back to WREX100 version 0.9.4.0 and after running the updates I still got the Host Process for Windows Tasks has stopped working
error  

So from here I'm not sure what I should test next.  Perhaps changing some presets?

Unfortunately, the new version 0.9.6.0 does not solve the problem.
And I still can not find where it comes from.

Very true and that's the reason that I had to roll back to using 1511 (TH1 and TH2) instead of the newer 1607 (RS1) until this problem gets resolved.  We are kinda dead in the water for the time being.

I tried but I was not able to reproduce the bug ... but I experienced other ones

Are you able to try without removing all features and services, to try if that solves the trouble ?

Thanks. I'm using a french ISO, integrate the KB3176936 in it, and did not experience this trouble.

But it seems that this updates has potential issues ... there are several threads on this ... I found this in french : [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] ... Unfortunately, Microsoft did not answer.

This is how I'm doing :
1 - I downloaded my ISO (RS1) directly from MS servers using the 1st link in this post : [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
2 - I downloaded all windows 10 updates using EX-100
3 - I integrated the update with EX-100, and created directly an ISO (for backup) ... without modifications
4 - I install this ISO in a virtual machine to check if everything work
5 - Then I use this ISO to customize the operating system

I will release a new updates catalog tomorrow with new updates ... maybe this will solve the trouble.

The problem susbsiste with all services and all features enabled.
Also, will I follow the above procedure in five points.

NB: Was used iso: Win10_1607_French_x64.iso

Creating an offical rs1 iso US EN without removing anything, i'll report back if it works,

this has really got me worried though as any new future update can kill out systems now. May have to live without removing anything, which sucks

So it works in VMware were the previous would crash windows tasks, so I'm confident it will work on the real pc

1 - I downloaded my.60 ISO (RS1)...  Done

Ré-install Ex-100 0.9.6.0

2 - I downloaded all windows 10 updates using EX-100...done
3 - I integrated the update with EX-100, and created directly an ISO .. done
everything is fine
4 - I install this ISO in a virtual machine ...done 
everything is fine
Windows integrate update (kb3189866, kb3176936, kb3194496)
everything is fine


5 - Then I use this ISO to customize the operating system

New virtual installation


Windows integrate




But (Despite 7 attempts)





As it is not possible to go any further, I'll wait for the next update of the WR100 catalog to retest.

It seems that KB3194496 and kb3176936 are buggy and cause troubles under certains circumstances ... I will not propose KB3194496 in the updates catalog I will release later today, because I'm not able to find an official way to get it.

I think the better way is to wait the next cumulative updates which will be available for the 11st October.

For the moment, I'm not able to reproduce this bug, but don't worry I'm on it.
