i also am getting problems with the winsxs folder cleanup.

for install.wim the experimental folder was left at ..\Mount\TEMP_Windows

and the winsxs folder contained nearly 11000 folders

also there are nearly 200 keyboard layouts left. are this new once since windows 10 ?

i also forgot to post this much earlier. when i remove all keyboards in winreducer (i.e. winreducer 7) the file KBDGR1.DLL is left because i leave the german keyboard. but german is KBDGR.DLL, and KBDGR1.DLL is german IBM which can be removed

Has anybody Live system installed or Virtual?

Live there are problems!

I could see the 576 after processing with v0.4.17.3 and its WCCF in VirtualBox install, but then in the live installation at the 1st reboot, after copying the data, the installation stops right at the start.

Try it with 10240. Works without problems so far.

I did another test with 0.4.18.3 and removed only

Hi winter,
thank you for the great tool.
I found a bug, but I don't know if it is a bug at all ?
In the device Manager my portable devices (USB 3.0 Lexar sticks) are no more recognized from the IOS, but "unknown device".
Have I delete something with the reducer which I didn't have to remove with the reducer ?

Did you removed :
- "Drivers - USB Hub (EHCI, UHCI, OHCI)"
- "Drivers - USB Hub (xHCI)" ==> this is the USB 3.0 (xHCI) driver.

Hi Winter,
since v.0.4.18.3 there is a problem with the WPD Dateisystem Volume driver. You can see it in my screenshots which you can download and see by dropbox.

The install stops and does not go further on. And my USB 3.0 Stick is not recognized.
Version 0.4.17.3 did not show this problem.

I think about one of those I added in v0.4.18.3, maybe you could try to remove all drivers you removed except the ones I added in v0.4.18.3, to see what happens !

hiya winter had some time   ..lol  did a test with reducer 5  everything went great remove my stuff and used wpi for my programs ...but had to make a new wccf   ...will use this on my main lappy...running win-10586 form insiders program...runs like a dream....ty for all your hard work mate    this is really a AWESOME  tool Cool Very Happy Wink Cool

The installation results every time in the well known loop.

Nope, simply because all Features, as well as all Services have not been checked for the moment ... but it will be, and by the way, thank you for the reminder Wink

winterstorm with last version 0.5.0.0 i always get error while formatting drive i only tested on VM of course. And i'm sure it's only in this version because i tried with 0.4.x.x with same wccf file (configuration) and it's working well.

Could you please try to recreate your wccf in v0.5.0.0 (without loading the old v0.4.x.x wccf) because many important changes which may result in instabilities ... and have you activated the "Presets - Protect VMware Player" and "Presets - Protect VirtuaBox" ?

Every thing ok for me with VMPlayer and direct installation on a new disk.

I am just wondering if I can Tweak
- small icon on desktop
- visual effect of shade around Windows
- Hybernation when closing screen
- suppress password when going out of Sleep

I also check the update integration I still need a user way to manage the order of applying them. (KB3106932 must be apply before cumulative)
As I said this can be a file downloaded with the Catalog.

I would like to test, if this will work for me in v0.5.0.0 and maybe one of the differences is responsible for the installing loop.

it could be something in services and also in the feature tab. so did you try to deselect also all features ?

Tested with:
Windows 10 Pro Build 10240 x64

I had a few problems:

1: "ms-settings:display" not found, i dont know if its something i removed or an actual bug.

2: I cant install nVidia drivers by its own installer, i had to use Devices Manager to install the drivers. I had this problem before with other windows versions after using WinReducer, i believe that the problem has to do with Remote Applications or Sharing Shell Extensions in the Network Section but im not sure.
 
3:  My Xbox One controller doesnt work anymore, does WinReducer removes any drivers along with the XBox App?

Other than that its working great.

Thank you .. and about KB3106932 is a really weird update ... when it has been integrated in the ISO, it hangs the installation each time ... no matter if it's integrated before or after cumulative update, at least in my untouched original build 10240 ISO !

for "- Hybernation when closing screen" : you could use the "Appearance - Desktop Context Menu - Hibernate"

Hi KrX,

I made some more tests. I choose Default (All) at Features and Default (All) at Services.
This results in the installing loop too.
( This is my used wccf file )

Then I took the wccf, deleted v0.5.0.0 and installed v0.4.18.3 again.
This results in the installing loop too.

As v0.4.18.3 was working for me with the WinReducer100_v0.4.18.3.wccf from Winterstorm,
it must be a constellation within my wccf.
The particular issue is, that Winterstorms wccf removes 50% more than I do Smile
