With the latest update, Microsoft added the ability to disable the search engine through the new "DisableSearchBoxSuggestions" parameter. To do this, go to the following path in the Windows registry: Computer \ HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ SOFTWARE \ Policies \ Microsoft \ Windows \ Explorer. If the "Explorer" folder is missing, it must be created. Then, in an empty space inside the "Explorer" folder, you need to right-click to create a new DWORD value called "DisableSearchBoxSuggestions", and then set it to "1".
Then you need to close the registry and restart Windows for the changes to take effect.
