Disabling Bing makes it impossible to search for information on the Internet through the built-in search system, allowing you to increase the speed and quality of local searches on the device. Thus, it will be possible to find the desired file faster, without waiting for the system to perform a search, including on the Internet.

Bing could have been disabled before using the "BingSearchEnabled" registry parameter, but it was removed in the May update of Windows 10. With the latest update, Microsoft added the ability to disable the search engine through the new "DisableSearchBoxSuggestions" parameter. To do this, go to the following path in the Windows registry: Computer \ HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ SOFTWARE \ Policies \ Microsoft \ Windows \ Explorer. If the "Explorer" folder is missing, it must be created. Then, in an empty space inside the "Explorer" folder, you need to right-click to create a new DWORD value called "DisableSearchBoxSuggestions", and then set it to "1".

Then you need to close the registry and restart Windows for the changes to take effect.
