Sysprep does not work

I want to make a Windows 8.1 with update'iso.If I make iso for use,it's no problem.But if I use it for Sysprep ,it will display Sysprep error.Could you please tell me how to remove no error or give me a config file (.wccf)

Did you enable the "Protect sysprep" preset?

I will give you two options:
1. Quick method
Looks like you have 2 things to correct:
a. Do not remove any of the Windows Defender components nor the service!
b. Copy the files amdxata.sys, sfloppy.sys, vms3cap.sys & spwinsat.dll from a full install to this reduced install into the C:\Windows\System32\drivers\ directory.

2. Slow method
a. Keep AMD storage SATA drivers
b. Keep floppy disk drive driver
c. Keep WinSAT component
d. Keep Windows Defender components & service!
e. Copy the file vms3cap.sys from a full install to this reduced install into the C:\Windows\System32\drivers\ directory (Here is the best info I could find on vms3cap.dll)

Test again, and let us know?

Thats weird, because the VM should be motherboard agnostic.
I guess when sysprep is doing its thing, it needs to repack the drivers for the future install, and it throws those errors when it cant find the files.
Why the issue with Windows Defender, I have no idea

One other point, Sysprep NEVER works with an antivirus installed. I dont know why, but I could never get the two to work together.

I wrote a tutorial on Sysprep a while ago here. Are you using Sysprep to repackage PC's for friends/etc?

Because, if you are doing it for your own personal computer, you dont need sysprep. This is the process that I use for my personal computer (Link).

I'm creating one for my friend, but I forgot to install software first before reducing image, so after reducing I installed it on virtual machine to install software then sysprep it, and I faced this error

OK.
This is an issue with all reducing programs since Windows 7.
You have to do Sysprep on the FULL image and then reduce AFTER.

I have 2 questions
1. Is that your entire Sysprep log? If not, can you post it?
2. Can you search in the reduced vm and look for the file vms3cap.sys, and verify that it is missing from C:\Windows\System32\drivers\

@winter: can you look at this, as there are still files being removed that should not be to enable Sysprep to work..

@winter: there are two threads opened on Sysprep. I will merge this with the other one as there is a definite bug in Sysprep removal.
@winter: we know for certain that vms3cap.sys needs to be kept.

I will try Sysprep on a reduced ISO that I created last night to see what errors I get.

OK, I'm on it, and I will add "vms3cap.sys" and "spwinsat.dll" in the sysprep protect preset (errors in mrpotter2510 sysprep log).

It will be available tomorrow in v1.37 ...

PS : I'm not updated this thread as solved until we fix sysprep.

1- The full log is very long, and I think we just need the error log to see where is the problem.

i reported somewhere some time ago that the following component:

Windows System Assessment Tool (WinSAT)
del /q /f Windows\System32\spwinsat.dll
del /q /f Windows\SysWOW64\spwinsat.dll

with the spwinsat.dll is causing a problem when streaming videos during my home network 

maybe this file is needed for some more features and programms

so maybe it should be added to the imported files preset for win 7, 8.1 and 10 ?

Yes, you are right ... maybe I could add it in both "Protect sysprep", "Protect WMP" and "Protect MCE".

Can you copy both those files from a full install and put them in your reduced VM, and see if Sysprep works?:
C:\Windows\System32\drivers\vms3cap.sys
C:\Windows\System32\spwinsat.dll

Just one point to make. Be very careful of the activation limit, as its a pain to reset if you go over the 3 activations.
See my Sysprep guide to ensure you dont get that problem

how many files should i get? i got a list of 17 files that i need to keep at the moment

I've made a test with WinReducer 8.1 - v1.37 (available 14 Jan. 2015) with mrpoter2510 wccf (few previous posts), which includes the fix for files (spwinsat and vms3cap) and sysprep starts as it should (using generalize and reboot options).

But as I'm not a specialist of sysprep, I will wait for your expertise my friends !

I spent a lot of time a couple of years ago playing with Sysprep, though I do not use it anymore myself.
