Run Windows 7 Ultralite on machine with less of 256 mb of ram

Hi guys, I want to install my Windows 7 Ultralite in a old PC:

Amd Duron 900 Mhz 
S3 Graphics ProSavage with 8 MB of VRAM (naturally no Aero)
75 GB of Hard Disk
248 Mb of Ram

Is there an options? ^_^  I have did this Ultralite version to install on this machine but the ram is too less.

what do you want to do with Computer ?

because i think its not possible or hardly to do.

if you remove everything and also disable/remove a lot of services windows 7 will need some ram (probably 200mb+ at idle state) and i.e. if you open a program or even firefox your computer will run out of ram.

i will post later (when im able to restart my system) how much ram my unltra slim win7 which is fresh installed will take.

I want only see how much slow is ... it's only for experiments... nothing of useful. But i want to try to install some softwares same... Can you help me winter2000?

I imagine that's for a real experimentation ...

If I remember right there should be a registry tweak. Maybe some other people could help you about that. If you find it and want to test it ... you could use the WinReducer registry integrator to add it before installation ...

if you used winreducer it could be that the file "winsetup.dll" will be missing at your ISO\Sources folder. i dont know if it will work if you just copy that file from an untoched is and copy it back. if not just dont use at Remover -> optimasations -> any "ISO ...." options

I have tried that way on Vmware Player, but it doesn't work.
If there is a registry file to add before installation, it's better

It seems that's impossible to do with a registry modification, only by modifying a file (what KrX said).

i also read that some people install it with i.e. 1 GB ram and after the installation is finished they change the ram to 256mb.

I have found the "bad" component that doesn't mainain the setup.exe: Windows - Unneeded Files Cleanup

Now, this is my new preset (I have removed more items):

I have installed XP on virtual machine and I start setup.exe as in video.

Maybe a cause of new components removed, I get this error message:

Impossible to create an installation folder.
Reconfigure the boot.wim making sure that it use the countersign 9 settings for first image and restart the installation.

Error code: 0x8030002F 

It's possible that the error is caused by removing of Windows Recovery Environment?

i cant see the picture because it says "not found"

im not sure what could cause it, but you could try to replace the boot.wim with onne untouched to see if it works

I just tried it but setup.exe starts but I get another similar error.

I will try to keep Windows Recovery Environment and Boot Fonts. 

The facts is that WRE take 100 MB on my ISO so the file become more of 700MB and I want fit it in a CD 

In a way or in another, i will find the solution.

Removing other things the boot.wim causes problems. 

Following the video it's possible install Windows 7 on old PCs.
