Hi @[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], I still have bugs even with the latest EX-100 - v0.9.88.0 (Beta 7):

- Removing Cortana still breaks windows search
- I don't know why but I can't log in into my router (Asus N14U, address 192.168.1.1) using Edge, but everything is fine with Firefox. With untouched windows version everything works
- Another old bug: some programs ask me for elevated permission to be run. This one for example:

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

When I click on it normally it asks me for elevated privileges, but it never happened before..

Everything works fine with untouched windows version. I also tried to not remove components, just metro apps an applied some tweaks and the elevated permission bug and search bug don't happen, but still I have the router login bug..

Here is my wccf file (the one with which I see all the bugs)

Thanks!

Hi,

ic ant download your wccf file because it was removed.

for that elevated permission, did you maybe select the "Explorer - Open File Security Warning Removal" tweak? that will disable that message for files with i.e. .exe extension

for cortana, the changelog says this:

- v0.4.8.3+ : "Multimedia - Speech" : Possible workarounds with "Cortana"

did you remove the speech component?

if that cortana bug still happens, you could send me your wccf file and maybe some more details what exactly does not work (maybe with screenshots) so i could do some tests soon

Hi, I updated the link to the wccf file.. What I did is remove Cortana and then the search bar doesn't work.. As for the file warning I don't know, didn't get that error with the first builds of winreducer.. You can try using the file i provided for the test:

And the third thing is that when i enter 192.168.1.1 for my asus router, after entering my user and password Edge doesn't show anything, it seems locked.. With firefox everything is ok..

Hello carlese Smile

I confirm the bug with Edge and the elevated permission ... I'm on it and it should be solved later today or tomorrow with a EX-100 WRSEB version which will have a fix for these troubles.

About Cortana, it will be fixed in the next builds but for the moment there is no ETA.

Thank you very much for your reports !

EDIT : the elevated permission bug may be bypassed by launching the file using right context menu "Launch as Administrator"

Hey mate, it's always nice to help Smile I know that the warning can be bypassed but I like things reeeeeeaalllyyyy clean so that " bug" was driving me crazy lol Very Happy Can't wait to try and report back, for Cortana I think I can live with that..

Just one suggestion: since OneDrive removal never worked, why don't you remove the entry from the selection list? Wink

Thanks,

Carlo

About OneDrive :
- if you use one of the presets named "Protect Modern UI Apps" or "Protect MS Online Account", OneDrive is not removed.
- the effective way, to remove it, is to uncheck these presets to use the manual mode. But you must take care to do not remove all necessary components to keep Modern UI Apps or the MS Online Account support

But if you you discover a bug, without these presets, please open a new bug topic, thanks Wink
