[SOLVED] [EX-100 - v1.9.15.0] [RS3 1709] Can not create wim or iso file.

I am using EX-100 - v1.9.15.0 for Windows 10 RS3 Multiple version. I installed clean EX on Windows 8.1 System. After finalizing progress, there is no .wim file created.
What is problem?

no cristal ball at least post your .wccf so we can analyse 
Have a look to the log file HOME\SOFTWARE\LOGS

Having the same problem. 
Unfortunately have no logs either, i may as well try once more and keep the logs. 
It happens sometimes at random with any reducer version.

I did try it again, same error.

unless you reinstall in a clean directory WinReducer the log is never destroyed new execution will happen to the log

1.9.16.0 isn't working either.
no matter the configuration, either make ISO or WIM, with or without WinSXS Folder Cleanup (boot.wim),
it always ends with a folder of :
[ExtractedByWinReducer]
[boot]
[sources]
   EI.CFG
   setup.exe
   lang.ini
   boot.wim
   install.wim
   TEMP_install.wim
bootmgr

where install.wim and TEMP_install.wim are the same size, which is identical to the size of the install.wim in the original iso
as if no reducing took place.


also randomly hangs during the removal procedure, having to end up some duplicated process it created for it to continue

logs and wccf are identical to the previous post.

this is a regression, it used to do this in older versions too, but i never reported.

running from win 7 Sp1 x64 - untouched but never updated - 2011 last official iso.

i got random hangs and sometimes the  TEMP_install.wim problem too (months ago) but since i moved from win7 to win10 i never got this problem again. so maybe its worth a try to reduce your iso on a win10 os

that was the problem
should there be a warning, win 10 cannot be serviced through a win 7 box
i don't know

normally it also worked on Windows 7 to reduce a win10 Image. so ist probably a bug

I discovered this bug recently, because I experienced such kind of troubles.

I used a WinReduced installation (with "WinSxS" cleanup" option activated) and I tried to use the "Recovery" compression ... but it resulted in an error with Dism. This is why it didn't created the install.wim corrrectly.

If you have time, could you please try this :
- Create an ISO with only the "WinSxS" cleanup" option activated
- try and install this ISO in a virtual machine
- finally, in this virtual machine, launch EX-100, and test the "Recovery" compression with an iso of your choice

Using this procedure, you should be able to reproduce the exact bug ... please let me know ... thanks guys
