Hello friends
I have a small query. I wonder if I can integrate the "update 1" by 8.1 Winreducer 1.04

I hope your answers

haven't tried it, done it manually through a script using dism. but have used winreducer on it afterwards perfectly fine.
should work I guess.

Question winter, does winreducer see .msu files as updates as well?

Don't suppose it'd be too much to ask if I inquired HOW you did that? I want an ISO with Update 1 installed, lol.

How did you do this?  Did you use Winreducer 8.1 or did you use dism like spider?   I am new to windreducer and also would like to build a Win8.1 image with all the updates including update 1.

WinReducer 8.1 will be updated tomorrow to support Windows 8.1 Update 1 integration.

So, please be patient one more day ... Thank you !  Wink

Will the new version of today (!) have any more new features/fixes? I want to create a new installation today, but I will not need to integrate Update 1...

Oof, that didn't work... I WinReduced a Windows 8.1 Update ISO (the one from TechNet, SHA=4652DC6EBFEBE02C6A63E167C36E3FAEDFB93999) and afterwards:

- I could log onto my Microsoft Account, but it doesn't sync settings
- Windows Store installations all end in error 0x8007007e errors (Event log ID 20: [Windows Update Agent] Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x8007007E: *the app*).

My WinReducer config: https://db.tt/gH6Gz7TG

And then there's this:
[IMPLEMENTED] Integrate "update 1" PoTvzhFX
Full DISM log here: https://db.tt/RRiZz59V

And a question: I know SkyDrive/OneDrive won't be removed from the Metro environment, but I thought I read that it would still work from there? For me, the app starts, then crashes but stays active in the taskbar. Clicking on it shows a blank screen for a second, then it hides itself again. Known behavior? In the event log id 5961: [Apps] Activation of the app FileManager_cw5n1h2txyewy!Microsoft.Windows.FileManager for the Windows.Launch contract failed with error: The remote procedure call failed..

What I found in C:\Windows\Panther\setuperr.log was

I'm having problems with integrating update 1. When I create an ISO, I see all of the other updates I select, just not update 1. Do I need to generate an ISO with update 1 first, extract it, then generate an ISO with the rest of the updates?

Thanks in advance!

description[IMPLEMENTED] Integrate "update 1" EmptyRe: [IMPLEMENTED] Integrate "update 1"

Hello and welcome buckeykm, Smile

- First, have you downloaded all "Update 1" executables (=*.msi files) with the "WinReducer Updates Catalog" ? If not, you need to download them 1st in order to integrate them.

- This could also happen if your ISO is already an Update 1 version, so WinReducer skips "update 1" integration if it's detected, to save time.

To answer your question, all tasks are executed in 1 pass by WinReducer (integrate "Update 1" + "Other Updates").

Winterstorm,

Thanks for the speedy response!

I have downloaded all of the update1 files. I see them in the Updates>x64>Update_1 folder. When I image the machine with the ISO that I generated, that all of the updates EXCEPT for Update1 are present on the machine. I am going to start from scratch again and check that when I create the ISO that all of the updates are present.

Temp, thanks for the reference. I have looked at that and I am following the correct process. I am able to get updates integrated, it's just that update1 doesn't seem to be present when I use the image. As I said before, I am starting over from scratch and it is presently integrating the update1. We'll see once I actually use the image.
