Do I miss something?

1.when using Winreducer 8.0 the proposed download are those of 8.1 I wo?ulsd hve assume  different list

2.Can update to 8.1 download available

I understand that other version are more needed but as I have only a Windows8 key I want to winreducer it.
Not sure if I can do it with WinReduder81.
 Certainly I will get trouble with KB's selection

I highly recommend that you attempt to use Windows 8.1 (+Update 1)  since I believe it has a number of improvements you'll be glad to see.


Also, I believe you can install Window 8.1 using a standard Microsoft install key, but Activate post installation with your Windows 8.0 key

I think I try to activate a windows8.1 after installation with a generic key but it failed as my Windows8 key was an key for installation of an upgrade copy of windows7
This key  works with  an Windows8 .iso that I get I don't remember how

That's the reason I want to Winreducer this .iso.

Do you know If I really need the Winreducer80 or If the Winreducer81 can be used on such .iso?

What version of Windows 7 did you have? Then, what version of Windows 8.0 do you now have, and finally, what version of Windows 8.1 were you trying to activate??

When you install the Windows 8.0 iso, without modding it, are you offered the 8.1 Upgrade in the Windows Store?? If the answer is yes, then you may be have been given a new key? Or at least, they will let you download the 8.1 files to be able to create a new iso??

Tomorrow I will also update WinReducer 8.0 to v2.00 RC1 ... ... unfortunately I had to disable the "WinReducer Updates Catalog" because there are so much time I didn't update it for WinReducer 8.0. (but if you have a list of updates I will try to integrate them).

To download Windows Updates, you probably need to find them with another software, then use WinReducer to integrate them in your ISO.

Maybe with the excellent advice of brittech there is something to do ....

And for the record, in RC1 there will be new components to remove ...

Windows7 premium OEM I think
Windows8.0 Pro as an upgrate of it with the corresponding key
Windows 8.1 Pro retail without Key so I use the Generic key to test WinReducer8.1

To have the upgrade with Windows Store I need to apply some KB's as kb2871389 I don't remember if I need more.
No new key is entered.

Hmm

One way to get the 8.1 you want would be to...

Install 8.0 with the key you have - fully activated.
Apply the updates to satisfy the 8.1 upgrade requirements - you'll have to find out which ones.
Upgrade to 8.1 and check activation.  If activated, try and find out what key it is using.
Then, you could apply all 8.1 Updates, including 'Update 1', and grab an image of that installation offline (Using WinPE + ImageX)

If all this sounds a bit too much, search around and try it out in a Virtual Machine VM.

That's he way I download a 8.1 version but after using the generc key I can't activate it with my key

I think V3.0.0.0 is not working
The .iso cannot be created
The screen just show Apply and not thing else after a moment just the first screen allowing to exit

You are right, there is bug after the customization/removing part which prevent creating an ISO. I will fix it tomorrow morning with v3.0.1.0 ... thank you for the report !
