i need to say i just tried it on windows 7 isos.

sometimes it does it only @install.wim and sometimes at boot.wim too.
thats really annoying because it worked well with earlier versions.

Did you manage to correctly remove Family Safety? I cannot see nothing relevant in latest changelogs. Even though I can remove this service by cmd, I wonder if WinReducer kills scheduled tasks too, about this service. Thanks

Sure! We discussed a couple of weeks ago about a bug in removing Family Safety that makes research in Charm Bar incomplete. Has it been fixed?

Some trouble to upload 1.12 ...

Expert winsxs clean up problem for me solved


Now my iso size with 1.11 version is 739MB 

When I use (Ctrl+Alt+Del ) I get VDMDBG.dll can't be found? I download it and my problem(Not Open Taskmanager) Solved ==>Protect This Dll For taskmanager On 1.12

For your trouble, I've tried and it works for me, but did you remove "Network - Internet Explorer (Engine)" ?
PS : the "vdmdbg.dll" file is a part of the "Accessories - 16bit Support".

Ok winter but you can Protect "vdmdbg.dll" for task manager work

I find some folder for Remove On Install.wim For Reduce windows Size 

(some of this Folder is Hidden) 

1-   Program Files\WindowsApps ===>  Delete This Folder is Safe

2-   Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\Microsoft Camera Codec Pack  ==>   Delete This Folder is Safe if not use Camera Codec Pack

3-  ProgramData\Microsoft\Search  ==>   Delete This Folder is Safe(Windows Search work good)

4- ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\AppRepository ==> Delete This Folder is Safe

Does the software now work on esd files? If not, how do I use an ISO with an esd in it? I know this has been discussed before, could somebody point me out to that page or tell me what to do?

you can Convert Install.esd To install.wim with simple way and next use Winreducer 

1-go to download Link and uncheck  use our download manager and click download until download program and Extract Zip File

2-Open Program and go to Tools and Setting Now go to tools and select ESD Decrypter Now select on Option ESD To install.wim

The program you have linked to does not have a 'tools and settings' option.

No WinReducer 8.1 do not support esd files, but I'm thinking about creating a simple external program to do it.

I think I will release it in the beginning of the next week !

It will convert esd->wim and wim->esd ...

Hi winter.
What does the first option related to WinSXS in the Unattended section do?
 - "Unattended - WinSXS DISM Cleanup"

Regarding the second option, 
 - "Unattended - WinSXS DISM Cleanup - ResetBase"

I have seen online that the second option related to WinSXS in the Unattended section "removes all superseded versions of every component in the component store". I do not see any size difference in the ISO after this. I use a wim captured from VMWare with all the latest updates installed.

For me, both of these options are safe to use.

I am investigating all the WinSXS related options to see what options are safe to use to keep Windows Update. 
Important for me as I do not reinstall on my main machine very often as its our Media Center/internet PC (i.e. my wife goes nuts if I touch it, so I cant change it too often)

Those 2 options are doing exactly what you find ... Yes they are safe, and you could see them as an official MS WinSXS cleaning   ... But with Windows 8.1 Update 1, the process is really slow because DISM is slow with this function !

It's ready and it seems to work great, but the only limit is that you need to choose only one edition in your file. In other word, you can't save an entire All in One ISO, only one edition of them are supported ... Just because the project is WinReducer and the purpose is to reduce your installation media !
